Goat Boutique

Goat Boutique Video by Don Shearer

DISCLAIMER: In this video, there is a short interview with Don Shearer (the artist) and he mentions that it was painted in 2018. Upon research, it was actually painted in 2016 thanks to facebook postings from that year. Don is NOT digitally inclined, a running joke among his friends that he still has a "flip phone". Due to his work style and over all out look at life, confusing calendar dates is often a norm, it was in no way an attempt at deception.
Probably one of Don's more amazing creations. At first glance this piece looks like it could have Itzchak Tarkay influences (Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem). Upon interview, Don had never really heard of the technique, so the only assumption is that due to his unique ability, he painted in the style without realizing it. His mental prowess in art shows he can assimilate almost any painting style without realization. A sign of a a master of the painting medium, even if (in his words) he uses "Oops Paint"; buckets of paint that are put on clearance at the big hardware box stores because of customer mistakes in the mixing area. These buckets of paint are offered at a discount to the general public as well as starving artists who, though may not be the color they wanted, it's the color they can afford.
